The WRSW Spinning SIG is having its first meeting of the year on Saturday, March 4th. Whether you’re new to the guild or an old faithful, this SIG is geared to any spinner who is a member of WRSW and is already able to spin a continuous thread. This year we have 4 exciting sessions that take us back to the basics to give us more tools to help us make the yarn we desire. More information about this SIG is available through the SIG newsletter available on the About tab. To join us for our 2017 season, please contact Spinning SIG facilitator Nancy Curtiss.
If spinning isn’t your thing – the SIG newsletter has helpful information about our Felting, Rigid Heddle, and Weaving SIGs!
Don’t pass up this opportunity to learn the basics of tapestry weaving! Bobbie Shafer will teach you all the techniques you need to get you started. Don’t have a tapestry loom, no worries, you can even use a mat board or make a loom with stretcher bars.
Send your check to Jan Gibson to register. Cost is $20 for guild members and $30 for non-members. Workshop is on Saturday, March 25th 10am-4pm at Kirtland Library
