Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday as we look forward to a Happy 2017 full of fiber and fun!
Also remember we still have our ROC Day Celebration coming up on January 7th from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Willoughby Hills Community Center (walk into the library and turn left and go to lower level), 34500 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills
We will have a gift exchange for those who wish to participate. Just bring a handmade wrapped gift to join in.
Bring a dish to share, your drink of choice and silverware. Napkins and plates will be provided. Hope you will plan to come celebrate everything fiber!
Registration open for Beginning Tapestry Workshop
Our own Bobbie Shafer will lead us in learning all about getting started in tapestry. If you were inspired by the Silvia Heyden video or the Helena Hernmarck lecture, now is your chance to participate in a hands-on experience. See attached flyer for information.
Before things get too crazy with the holiday season, I wanted to ask everyone to mark their new calendars for our special get-together on ROC Day, Saturday January 7th, a.k.a Saint Distaff's Day.
This day is a gathering of friends with common interests in fibers… a celebration of the New Year, specifically for their art, and a way of paying homage to the past.
Hope you can come, bring a dish to share, a gift for exchange (if you want to participate) and an afternoon of festivities and yummy food!

Yes, it 's November already and our meeting is a week early. Join us for a great video, A Weaverly Path: the tapestry life of Silvia Heyden, a documentary.
"Kenny Dalsheimer’s A Weaverly Path captures a privileged and intimate slice of time observing Silvia Heyden, providing an unprecedented opportunity to see and hear what she experiences during a period of deep involvement with her Muse, the Eno River. Heyden’s quest is not to weave a representational depiction of the river, but to interpret the river’s fluid patterns, shapes, sounds, and ever-changing nature, to represent its movement and flow with the yarns of her tapestries." Hope you will be coming out to Farmpark for our WRSW Guild meeting tomorrow. It's a beautiful drive this time of year and we have a wonderful program on hats. This meeting also marks the time for our annual election of nominated positions! See you there!!
