From Susan Conover:

The small town of Parkman, OH is mourning the loss of one of our own, Betsy Hill of Laleure Winery. Betsy was one of the most unassuming women I knew, who always had a big smile to share. She was a spinner (albeit by her own words, “not a very good one”) and knitter.
Betsy purchased my flock of Lincoln Longwool sheep in 2004 as ambience for the winery when I was preparing for a kidney transplant. That was the happiest day of those sheep lives … no more breeding and being pampered to the nth degree.
Many spinners from the WRSW have enjoyed numerous spin-ins on an annual basis at Laleure. Betsy was always present providing refreshments, goodies and camaraderie.
The following is taken from Laleure’s website:

Laleure will be closed for a while due to the loss of beloved Betsy.
To our dear friends and family, as you may have heard the most kind person in the world has passed suddenly with no apparent cause. Viewing will be at Russel Funeral Home in Middlefield, OH, on Friday, June 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. There will be a funeral mass at our church, St. Helens, in Newbury, Ohio, on Saturday, June 4 at 11:00 am. We will gather at our home in Parkman afterwards. Betsy will be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Nyack, NY, on Monday, June 6, 11:00 am is the tentative time. Please pray for Betsy.
