Subject: Calling all fiber artists!

 Hello,

On Saturday, October 7th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Rocky River Nature Center in North Olmsted, Ohio will be holding its Hands On Heritage event.

The mission of this event is to bring traditional crafts and skills to life for our visitors in celebration of the rich  pioneer history of our area. Many hands-on crafts, try-its, and samples are provided, and we love bringing in skilled craftspeople who can demonstrate their wonderful work.

We are looking for some fiber artists who would be willing to come out and demonstrate their skills at our event. Specifically, we would love to have some spinners, felters, rug hookers, and rug weavers, but we are open to other styles of craft as well. At this time, we have the flexibility to set up a station for you either inside or out, depending on your preference. Tables, chairs, reserved parking spots, and tents for outdoor demonstrators will all be provided. The typical attendance of the event is between 1,000 – 3,000 visitors.

If you or your guild have interest in participating in this event, please contact me at 440-734-6660 or bmm@clevelandmetroparks.com

I very much hope you will consider joining us on this fun, family-friendly day. The skills you help keep alive deserve to be showcased and celebrated by the community!

Thank you very much for your consideration. I hope to hear from you soon!
