From President Lisa Davis:

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you all had wonderful Thanksgivings. I’m sorry that our last meeting had to be cancelled, but there was nothing else to be done with the power outage and heavy winds. Because the meeting was cancelled, I want to remind you that our holiday luncheon and gift exchange is scheduled for January 10th, at the Willoughby Brewing Company (4057 Erie St, Willoughby, OH 44094) from noon until 2 pm. Because it is after the holiday rush, I was able to talk them into letting us order off of the regular menu, so you won’t have pick from a restricted number of items. If you’re curious, you can check out their menu on line, and there should be plenty of options for people on restricted diets. I do however need a head count, and was planning on passing around a sign up sheet at the last meeting (but the best laid plans of mice and men, yadda, yadda, yadda), so if you are planning on attending I need to get an email from you so I can let the restaurant know how many to prepare for.

Program

I hope you are looking forward to Susan Powers' presentation of unique clothing and accessories from the 1950's, featuring "1947 The New Look", casual play outfits and suits for shopping. The outfits, shoes, hats and gloves are from her personal collection and it should be an excellent presentation, with models, too.

Susan Powers, a professor in Fashion Design at Ursuline College, will give a presentation about clothing and accessories from the 1950's, featuring "1947 The New Look", casual play outfits, and suits for shopping, among other things. She will also bring four models to wear the items: two of her students, Anna and Hannah; her daughter, Cassie; and her sister-in-law. The outfits, shoes, hats and gloves are from her personal collection of heritage clothing.
