Home – Western Reserve Spinners & Weavers

Spin-In will be held at  Panera Bread  in Bainbridge, Ohio at 6pm.

Join us for a casual gathering. Bring your spinning wheels, knitting, crocheting, needle felting, mini looms or any portable project.  This is a wonderful opportunity to hone your spinning skills-or to learn, if you've been itching to discover the excitement of making your own custom yarns.  Free spindle kits provided!  It's also a relaxing and fun way to introduce a friend into this simple yet satisfying skill. Plus we choose places where you may purchase refreshments!

Starting time is 6PM, but come when you can and leave when you must.

WOW!  that's right... as of 8/22 we have 18 students signed up for our dynamic concurrent 4 and 8 shaft workshop with renowned weaver, teacher, and lecturer - Jette Vandermeiden! Don't miss out!  Only two openings left!  More information on this workshop can be found under the "Workshop tab" on our website.  Please contact Nancy Curtiss, workshop chair, to inquire about openings.

Be sure to join us this coming Tuesday at 7PM at Farmpark for our second of two fiber studies this year.  This time we'll be looking at wool... what are its properties, and how does this affect your project? Join Nancy, Jan, Nora and Susan for a lively panel discussion of wool and how  it's used in felting, spinning, knitting and weaving. There will be time for Q & A, and plenty of samples to see and touch to give you inspiration for your projects!

Don't forget that our room is open at 6PM for early arrivals.  Come and bring your current portable project and take a little time to work, or to share it with others!

See you on Tuesday.
