From Show Chair Linda Christopher:

This is a call to ‘TAKE IN’ fiber items for our WRSW show during Rabbit Run’s production of “Quilts” at Lake Erie College February 9 through March 4, 2018.
Lynn Vandevort, Curator at Lake County Historical Society, invited us to show our modern woven items alongside her display of pioneer era items from the LCHS collection. We will be accepting members’ fiber items at our ROC day celebration on January 6 at Willoughby Hills Community Center.

There will be nine mannequins to display the vests made at the Daryl Lancaster workshop and a place to display scarves and towels. We have plenty of display space for hanging garments also. This is an opportunity to show one or more of your completed and special pieces – whatever the fiber – although we hope to balance our show with an abundance of modern fiber items (bamboo, mercerized cotton, modal, rayon, tencel, etc).

All our items will be insured – attached, find a ‘Word’ document named ‘Museum Collection Incoming Loan Agreement blank’. Please print the document – fill out the first page with your personal information, read the “Conditions” we are each agreeing to, sign the bottom of the page on the lower right. Members sign as “The Lender”.  List each of your items on the second page and determine a value for each. Please leave the lower portion under “Release:” blank. Bring the form with your fiber item(s) to ROC day. There will be a supply of forms available there. Please take a photo of your item(s) so you have your own record for insurance purposes.

If you cannot attend ROC day, but do have items for the show – please contact Linda Christopher (linda102@twc.com) to arrange for pick up.

Let’s make this show as great as our Wool Jamboree Show!

Thank you,
Linda Christopher
