Hi all, Uarda wanted me to post information regarding the TAA  textile art alliance) show which is now on  at Kent State.

Uarda Writes: “This is the “fancy” fiber art exhibit that Textile Art Alliance does every other year.  It is a professionaly juried and presented show. Mostly the stuff is way too far out for me. But it is interesting to look at. It runs from March 1 to July 28, 2019  The receptions is March 21, 5 – 7pm.

The flyer reads:  Focus: Fiber  2019  A National Contemporary Fiber Art Exhibit  Kent State University Museum, Stager and Blum Galleries, Kent, OH  This is in the Textile Museum. Not sure if that is the correct title of the museum.

FYI   Members of TAA have not been included in the exhibit because it is so extreme but I am not very active any more so do not know if anyone in the group has been accepted.  I’ll see a member next Tues to pick up some cards about the show to pass out at our next meeting and ask her.
TAA also puts on an exhibit for its members. It is a very nice show and the refreshments are quite grand.”
