There are still a few spaces available for our Felting Workshop on May 14, 2016. It will take place at Cheryl Laufer’s, 11232 Bell Road, Newbury, OH, from 10 am to 3 pm. No experience needed!
Members may have noticed that there are many photos to go with the Roster entries on the members’ site. If you do not see your photo, or don’t like the current photo, then please send me a jpeg of your head and shoulders that you do like.
April 28 Coffee Corners this week!
Starting time is 6PM, but come when you can and leave when you must.
Join us for a casual gathering. Bring your spinning wheels, knitting, crocheting, needle felting, mini looms or any portable project. This is a wonderful opportunity to hone your spinning skills-or to learn, if you’ve been itching to discover the excitement of making your own custom yarns. Free spindle kits provided! It’s also a relaxing and fun way to introduce a friend into this simple yet satisfying skill.

Plans are going strong for our Fall Rigid Heddle workshop with Constance Hall – at present we have 15 of the 20 places filled with excited students. If you’ve been thinking about joining us but just haven’t gotten around to it, I hope this will be just the encouragement that you need. Look for the workshop flyer under the Workshops tab.
Since we are getting down to the end of registration, please contact Nancy Curtiss for availability of space. Once we’ve reached our student limit we’ll begin a waiting list for those interested. Notification of openings will begin August 2, after we’ve reached the deadline for balance of deposit with the existing list of students. This is sure to be a fun and dynamic workshop – and a great chance to make some new friends as we’re now getting registrations from people outside of the guild. I hope that you can join us!

Be sure to stop in at the Kirtland Library to see the fantastic display of woven, spun, felted, bobbin lace and other items created by members of the Guild. There are spindles, fleeces and other things used to create all these beautiful items.
