Guild Meeting September 24th

Lake FarmPark
8800 Euclid Chardon Rd, Kirtland

Tommye McClure Scanlin

will be joining us via Zoom for a presentation Why Tapestry

“I am an artist who observes and responds to my surroundings for inspiration. My primary artistic medium is handwoven tapestry, an ancient method of working with fibers to create images. As I seek images and ideas to interpret into tapestry I experience my surroundings as closely as I can. Photographs, sketches, paintings, and writings all are part of the research I put into my work. I would like to share a bit about my journey to finding tapestry as my chosen way of working”

There is still time to let me know if anyone else is interested in demonstrating at this event .  We will have the same spot as in the past and if you have any items you would like to loan me for our display I can get them from you at the WRSW meeting next Tuesday. Please put a tag on it with your name so I can get them back to you. As in the past they would love for us to drape scarves on the upper rails and will have (2) 8’ tables for our items.

For those of you doing demonstrations I can pick up your equipment at our meeting and take it down on Tuesday, October 1.

I will have everyone’s entry/parking ticket packets at our meeting on Tuesday, September 24.  If you will not be at the meeting let me know ASAP and I can drop it in the mail.
